Goal
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As we reflect on 2026, we are filled with gratitude for the connections that have shaped another meaningful year at Housing Choices. From the laughter and excitement shared at community celebrations to the powerful voices of self-advocates speaking up for their housing needs, this year has reminded us of the importance of our mission: creating opportunities for people with developmental and other disabilities to live independently in homes and communities of their choice.
This year, we welcomed residents into a newly opened Partner Property in a neighborhood rich with resources and opportunities, while also providing critical financial assistance to families in the southern coastal counties. Your support has helped turn our mission into tangible outcomes. We invite you to explore the highlights throughout this letter to learn more about what we have accomplished together.
As housing costs continue to rise, so does the urgency of our work. Many individuals with developmental disabilities and their families continue to face significant barriers to finding and maintaining safe, affordable housing. Meeting these challenges requires continued advocacy, collaboration, and the generosity of a community that believes everyone deserves the opportunity to live independently.
As we close out 2026 and look ahead to a new year, can we count on your continued support?. Your gift can help provide essential household items for someone moving into their first home or cover interpretation services for an individual signing their first lease. These small moments represent life-changing milestones toward greater independence, stability, and belonging.
No gift is too small, and every contribution helps us advocate for, support, and empower people with developmental and other disabilities to build lives of their own choosing.
Together, we can open more doors to independence in 2027 and beyond.
With heartfelt gratitude and warm wishes for the holiday season,
With gratitude,
Dennise Jauregui, Executive Director
Todd Marans, Board Chair
