Habitat for Humanity of Wayne County New York, Inc.
The Wayne County affiliate was incorporated in 1988 as a fully autonomous, non-profit 501(c)(3), tax-exempt organization. The Board of Directors is a group of volunteers from many towns, various churches, and civic organizations. The affiliate is responsible for its own local fundraising and supports the work of Habitat International in other countries with a tithe of 10% of funds raised, unless requested, to keep all of a donation in the county. Houses have been finished in the following communities: Newark, Sodus, North Rose, Clyde, Macedon and East Williamson, Ontario, Wolcott, Rose, Williamson, Lyons, and Marion. We have built or refurbished over 30 houses including refurbishing 4 of our earlier houses for new families.
We are always looking for free or inexpensive land around the county for future projects. Can you help us build, in your community?
