We are going to the Democratic Republic of the Congo for two pastoral training institutes in July 2018. The first will be held in the large western capital city of Kinshasa where we plan on teaching three hundred pastors from July 2-6. The second will be from July 9-13 in East Congo in the city of Goma. We expect another three hundred pastors to participate in this institute as well.
What is the purpose of our travelling to these locations to train pastors? Seminary institutes in the DRC are few and far between and very costly even by Western standards. Most pastors in the area are incredibly poor and struggle to make ends meet. These pastors need courses in preaching, theology, leadership, church administration, evangelism, prayer, the spiritual life and a host of other courses, which our training institute will provide.
