Goal
Dear friends and family,
As we say goodbye to the holiday season & our Celebration of Unity through diversity, which we organised again this year in the remote Panamanian indigenous communities, we would like to highlight the ever-present need for this type of fundraiser. For this very reason, we are leaving the giving season fundraiser for the little ones active and open for all donations throughout the entire year!
All donations received starting from January 30 2022, will be used for our next December/ January kids' programs and gifts. Our hope is that this way, we will finally be able to meet our goal and help all of the "pueblos originarios" or indigenous villages who seek our support and ask for our participation in their end year festivities.
Each year, we receive invitations from the tribal communities we work with. With a majority of these people depending on agriculture and fishing to be able to provide for their families, oftentimes they as parents need to leave their little ones to go and work in the neighbouring villages, rivers and fields. Many times without a choice but to leave the kids to their older siblings for care during their absence. Toys and trinkets of all sorts, and even more essential items are often beyond their financial reach. Even though the joy of one's childhood isn't and can't be measured by the number of material things and possessions, we all have fond memories of our favourite toys, books and sometimes random things that somehow brightened up our early memories.
In these times of excess production and consumption, we want to pay special tribute to those who have the least and need our attention and support the most.
To do this, we need your help.
Let's give the underprivileged kids from Panamanian indigenous communities a holiday season to remember!
The smallest gift can go a long way. In just a few clicks you can donate according to your circumstances starting from a symbolic $3!
We'll direct those towards the holiday festivity and gifts for more than 900 indigenous kids, living under the poverty line in remote areas of Panama.
Besides Darien, where we are planning on hosting a celebration for 600 kids, we will also have activities for kids in the Tribal Gathering Eclipse location (for around 60 kids) and in Palmira (around 250 kids from El Progreso, Playa Chiquita and Palmira, villages in the vicinity of our usual TG spot).
We need to provide travel costs for volunteers, food, treats and drinks,
but most of all toys and games since it adds up to quite a number of kids!
With over 900 kids depending on us for this year's presents and celebrations,
we needed to make sure to start with our holiday season gifts and magic fundraising without delays 😅🎁❤️🎄
Didactic toys, notebooks, children's books, hygiene products, food for infants, clothes, cribs, mattresses and all other necessities are also welcome. Our small, but dedicated team is continually gathering support in kind or economic aid for our beneficiaries, Indigenous mothers and children from remote and disadvantaged Panamanian villages.
From donations, we will buy all the objects as mentioned above for the underprivileged indigenous children from these communities.
If you are in Panama and have things you'd like to bring to us personally or donate via Yappy, that is also an option!

Thank you for making a difference for these little ones!
