CAMPAIGN GOAL: $5,000 - 500 DOGS!!
Parvo is an ugly fact of life in rural Alaska. It kills an untold number of dogs, especially puppies. It also causes grave concern that rural dogs coming into Anchorage, Fairbanks, and other hub areas will inadvertently introduce this viciously contagious disease to local pets and facilities. The Parvo problem belongs to all of us. With your help, we can do something about this.
Parvo is preventable with an aggressive vaccination program. ARVO is working together with Fairbanks-based nonprofit “A-CHILL”, (Alaska-Care and Husbandry Instructions for Lifelong Living), to provide vaccines and deworming to dogs in 17 villages. The first vaccination clinic will be in Tok and Tanacross in early November 2018. A very strong turnout of dogs is expected - in the hundreds. Following this work in Tok and Tanacross, we will work with A-CHILL to reach out to the other 15 villages in their program. You can read more about this exciting partnership on our website: http://www.akrvo.org/fight-parvo.html.
The estimated cost to vaccinate
and deworm one dog is just $10.
Please sponsor as many dogs as you can
with your donation!
