Goal
On a yearly basis, a great majority of Ghanaian people die basically, because of the lack of these two things: ambulances & first-aid.
The lack of ambulances is significant but it's not the only issue because even when there is a major improvement there, the not existence of first-aid trained or even first-aid knowledge among the citizens, will still cause a lot of untimely deaths. The importance of first-aid is so huge because even with ambulances, you will need people that are able to stabilize the injured people.
For us to be able to achieve the goal that we have set, we will need your support. Our goal is to not just continue with our yearly education on the streets and in schools across Ghana but now we want to set up a community-based response unit in the rural communities across Ghana.
Here is how we want to achieve this goal and the processes involved:
Each community will have a response unit, which consists of a container house with some youths from the community operating it. So for example when there is an emergency, the community unit will respond to the call and move out to help. This way we can bridge the lack of ambulances and at the same time create jobs for the youth in those communities. Each community unit will have a trained and certified, first-aid trainers, first-aid assistants, and paramedics. In this constellation the unit can and are will be able to help in their communities and help reduce the high untimely death in Ghana during accidents and other incidents.
For us to be able to set up these pilot project and after that set it across all rural communities in Ghana, we need your support wether financially or by man power( kindly contact me, if you wish to join me).
