The Lambeth Fringe is founded and produced by The Bread & Roses Theatre, an award-winning theatre based in Clapham, South London.
Founded in 2014, we stage entertaining and inspiring productions while also providing transformational opportunities for emerging artists and companies in a creative environment that welcomes everyone.
As we approach our 10th Lambeth Fringe (previously the Clapham Fringe), we're committed to elevating the experience for both visiting companies and audiences.
Each year, the Lambeth Fringe brings bold, original performance and arts to the heart of our community. From experimental theatre and spoken word to live music, dance and visual art, we champion creative voices and fresh perspectives across Lambeth and beyond.
In 2025, we’re proud to have been supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, a vital boost that helps us keep the Lambeth Fringe alive. But like many independent festivals, we receive no core funding. The majority of our income is generated through ticket sales, and we rely on the generosity of our community to keep going.
As a small team with low overheads, your support goes straight into making art happen, helping us nurture new talent, take risks, and share work that inspires and connects.
Whether you’re able to give a one-off donation or become a regular supporter, your contribution makes a real difference.
If you're interested in corporate sponsorship opportunities or including your business in our brochure, we’d love to hear from you.
Our small space and growing festival is not only a venue but a creative hub providing more equal opportunities, ethical working conditions and support especially for women, LGBTQ+, global majority and working-class creatives.

Why become a supporter?
Your donation will be vital as we continue supporting the most exciting new talent in the UK. You can play a fundamental part in ensuring the survival of a small but essential venue.
Our monthly Playwrights' Circle continues online and in person and supports dozens of playwrights and creatives each year. Whilst our other schemes and visiting company programming supports 1000's of freelancers to continue to create work at least financial risk possible each year.
Thank you for your support. The Bread & Roses Theatre / Lambeth Fringe Team x
