Goal
In our three seasons of the Farm...
People: We have welcomed 8 interns from the US, one intern from Zimbabwe, one intern from Tanzania, our Lead Produce Farmer, and Lead Animal Farmer, 4 resident volunteers, our voluntary service Executive Director and Special Projects Coordinator, and many others helping in many ways with hours of help.
Food: The Farm produces vegetables, berries and meat to be given away and sold through our CSA, custom orders, or directly from the farm.
Learning: Visitors from eleven countries and 20 states began to think in some new ways about where their food comes from, how it is grown, the direct impact on health and how to sustain the earth.
Assist others: We have supported global development and relief locally and around the world through donations of fresh produce to food pantries and collaboration with Mennonite Central Committee.
Help create the farm as a place to learn and grow!
Please join our desire: for many to find food from the Farm.
To develop the capacity of the farm for sustainable food production.
To design the Farm Learning Center, educational programs and retreats that teach and inspire.
To expand personnel: Give interns opportunities to learn as they raise food.
To show visitors the Illinois Native Hill Prairie.
Please consider gifts to Bear Fruit with the Farm into another year or with monthly support in The Hungry World Farm People Partners. THANK YOU!
