“I have been trying my best, but there is only so much I can do,” Ann said when she came to RS for rent and utility assistance. When she found out her three young grandchildren had been abandoned by her daughter, Ann began caring for them. On a fixed income and with little social support, Ann said she wasn’t sure how she would do it, but she was determined to find a way.
As Ann left RS that day, she said she was grateful for a little "breathing space" financially so she could now work on getting her grandchildren some much needed clothes, shoes, and diapers. “This place and you all have given me hope,” she said.
