Goal
The Jose de Calasanz Institute is an educational project that seeks to offer quality education and tools for the integral development of children and youth in the San Martin Caballero colony in the city of Mexicali, BC, Mexico, located 650 ft. from the US border. This is a community ravaged by delinquency and vandalism. Currently, the institute serves at 130 children. It includes preschool and elementary education for first and second grades and continues to grow as needed. Third grade will start in the 2019-20 school year. In progress for 2020, a new construction phase is starting to complete the elementary school building, with 7 new classrooms, a multipurpose room, and restrooms.
The parents of this poor and vulnerable area cannot contribute to the monthly tuition fees, just around 15% of the monthly expenses, with an average of US$289 per student, are covered by families.
With the solidarity scholarship of US$20 on a monthly basis, you can cooperate with families, the school, donors, and benefactors to improve the education, welfare, and safety of each child of the Jose Calasanz Institute. This scholarship will facilitate the purchase of school supplies, educational intervention, psychological care, hygiene, safety in the school.
We count on your generosity to reach our goal to give our students quality education and a safe environment in a school of all, and for all, where they can make their dreams come true and continue their education at the Jose de Calasanz Institute.
