Goal

Join us on May 23rd for the 39th Annual AIDS Walk — a powerful community tradition of love, remembrance, and action. This year, we proudly honor Sue Conley, who dedicated over two decades of service to the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont. Beginning in 2008, Sue was a passionate advocate for harm reduction, working tirelessly to promote syringe services programs (SSPs) in Vermont before they were even established. Through her unwavering advocacy, one of Vermont’s first SSP's was launched in 2015/2016 — a lasting testament to her vision and determination.

Sue continued her work in harm reduction and prevention, educating our community on HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention. Her compassion, knowledge, and commitment have inspired countless others to join the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Sue’s relentless dedication to this cause has impacted generations. She will be deeply missed, and her legacy continues to be felt across Windham County and beyond.

We walk to support people living with HIV, raise awareness, and help prevent new infections in southern Vermont. And we would like to thank Shirley Squires, a dedicated advocate who began fundraising for AIDS services in 1993, in memory of her son, Ron Squires. Your donation supports local outreach, education, testing, and compassionate care.
