Goal

Hello, I am Lindsay Bevevino. My husband Joe and I are from Warren and are now raising our two little boys here. In July 2021, our youngest son Elliott was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disorder called Neurofibromatosis Type 2 (NF2) at just 6 months old. NF2 is a devastating condition that causes tumors to form in the brain, spine, and other nerves. It impacts around 1 in 25,000 people worldwide across all ethnicities, genders, and ages. Elliott’s case is spontaneous, meaning no one else in our family has NF2. Patients with NF2 lose hearing, eyesight, mobility, and eventually their lives as the disease progresses. Individuals with NF2 have multiple tumors and face constant complications. Current treatments are limited, risky, and generally ineffective. Currently, Elliott has an NF2-related lesion in his left eye, which has left him with essentially no vision, and several brain tumors. His condition will continue to decline as he grows, and tumors grow with him.

Since Elliott's diagnosis, we have been fighting for his life by supporting NF2 BioSolutions, a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit organization founded by parents of NF2 patients. The organization is operated almost solely by volunteers so that every penny raised can go directly to research initiatives. NF2 BioSolutions partners with several world-renowned labs to identify treatment pathways aimed at attacking existing tumors and preventing new tumor growth. Additionally, NF2 BioSolutions provides families and patients with support, education, and direction in navigating the complex management of this disease. They have been a lifeline for my family as we navigate this nightmare.

We can’t do this work without the help of people like you. On Sunday, October 6, 2024, Elliott’s family and friends are hosting a chicken and biscuit dinner and basket raffle at the Eagles Club of Warren from 12 - 4 pm. We humbly ask that you consider attending the dinner, making a monetary donation, or donating a raffle basket.

Please contact me, Lindsay Bevevino, at (814) 218.6350 or elliottspasta@gmail.com with questions or to arrange pickup of your donation. We are eternally grateful for any contribution you can make and are thankful for your consideration of joining our fight for Elliott’s life.

Sincerely,

Lindsay and Joe Bevevino, Elliott’s Mom and Dad
