Goal

At the center of our wheel, AXIS believes disabled artists are our future.

As we dance our way into 2024, we will continue to create and perform new works and support the next generation of disabled and neurodivergent artists through our Choreo-Lab Fellowship, Teacher Trainings, and Summer Intensive programming.  We invite you to make a contribution that will directly support our ability to:

  • Commision more disabled and neurodivergent artists to develop new choreographic productions. We practice sustainable artistry that ensures artists earn livable wages that support their well-being.

  • Offer partial scholarships to Summer Intensive and Teacher Training participants that may experience financial barriers to access, thereby supporting the next generation of disabled and neurodiverse artists.

  • Utilize closed captioning, ASL interpretation, audio description, and other access technologies that allow all to experience the cutting-edge artistry of our productions and programming. This is an integral aspect of creating inclusive spaces where every individual can access dance and express their creativity.

Support from individuals such as you is what makes our work of redefining dance and disability not only possible, but a reality that we all get to experience together.  Together, we can continue to create a radically inclusive dance sector and world by removing barriers and showcasing the beauty of difference.
