Goal
Fellow Cirrus Pilot,
We need your donation to extend the reach of our training, help us meet our $300,000 Elevate goal.
Please consider supporting the COPA SEF Elevate campaign where we’ve set a goal to raise $300,000. Your donation will help us achieve our mission of providing data driven dynamic Cirrus specific training to more COPA members so that we can reduce the accident and fatality rate that continues to be above where we think it can be.
Help us make the entire Cirrus community safer in this hobby that we love.
If you are like me, you’ve read carefully on the forums about each of the ten fatal accidents that have taken place this year with a mixture of sorrow and fear, fear that you or someone you know could fall prey to the same event or decision making or skills gap. We enjoy this wonderful hobby with safety feature rich airplanes, but already this year, 20 people, across 10 separate accidents, have perished, and we think most could have been prevented with the skills and resources we regularly make available through CPPP training.
We are elevating our training game by expanding training to free online modules using modern publishing tools.
Last year, only 10% of the COPA community participated in an in-person CPPP training program, and we all know how perishable many of these skills are. We hear that COPA pilots want to attend, but scheduling, cost, awareness, and weather can all get in the way. That’s why we are making a big push to move many of our core CPPP courses into an online format accessible via the new Talent LMS. Further, amazing new tools like Flysto are allowing us to dive much deeper into the COPA community’s flying habits and data to identify opportunities to tailor training to the highest risks and deliver training that will reduce incidents and accidents in engaging courses with the possibility of higher retention and the ability to refer back.
Your donation will go a long way toward making this training awesome, and you just might save a life in doing so.
This Elevate campaign has a $300,000 goal. With that, we can hire the best CSIP instructors to get the content into engaging formats that include quizzes and simulations and track your safety efforts and make this training freely available online with no paywall. We are all responsible for building a culture of safety among the COPA community. Those that have reached a financial stage where you are looking to support a worthy cause, please consider the SEF, as we want to help elevate everyone’s flying to the safest and most enjoyable level.
