Goal
The fragile ecosystem in Eastern Kings County (Canada) is at risk as PEI Energy attempts to push through an environmentally destructive plan to construct seven towering wind turbines along the coastline. A previously intact ecosystem will be destroyed. The Eastern Kings Community Association has been working together to stop construction and protect birds, bats and essential wetlands. In the process, we have had to support a legal defence to protect landowner rights. We need your help. Please consider donating to support our efforts to ensure that land-use planning decisions in the Rural Municipality of Eastern Kings give priority to care and stewardship of the unique natural environment including protection of the area's fragile ecosystems and preservation of scenic vistas and natural beauty.
Your donation will allow EKCA to continue lobbying to ensure this delicate area and the tens of thousands of birds that travel the Atlantic Flyway through our area are protected.
