ECI Pollinator Program - 2026 Sponsor A Hive

ECI Sponsor A Hive Program

Bees are essential pollinators, vital to environmental health, food security, and human life. One out of every three bites of food we eat depends on bee pollination. However, increased use of pesticides, fungicides, and other environmental pressures has caused a sharp nationwide decline in bee populations and other pollinators.

With your support, ECI is able to maintain six honeybee colonies, creating a safe haven for bees and other essential pollinators in our community. These colonies help pollinate Good Ground Heritage Garden, located at St. Joseph Villa in Hampton Bays. The garden plays an important role in the community by providing fresh produce for St. Rosalie’s Food Pantry. Together, our apiary and gardens support biodiversity while helping nourish those in need.
