Show Up For Eat Street. Show your love and support.

Alex Pretti’s killing happened on Eat Street, one of the most vibrant commercial corridors in Minneapolis–an area filled with immigrant-owned businesses that were already reeling from the impact of the ICE surge.

Our community needs support. Our city needs ICE out immediately. And Eat Street businesses need your help.

Local businesses were already struggling to stay afloat during the federal immigrant enforcement surge: businesses are closed, customers are staying away, foot traffic has plummeted, and both owners and workers face an uncertain path forward.

Every business on Eat Street represents more than just a storefront—it's a family's livelihood, a team of employees counting on their paychecks, and a vital piece of our neighborhood's fabric. When one business suffers, the ripple effects touch countless lives: workers lose hours, families struggle to pay bills, and our community loses the vibrancy that makes it home.

Your contribution directly impacts real families and the entrepreneurs who've invested their dreams in our neighborhood. Eat Street is resilient. We've weathered storms before by standing together, and that's exactly what we need to do now.

Your donation supports Whittier Alliance’s direct assistance to struggling local businesses.

*Funds have been collected by the Lake Street Council for administrative purposes. Up to 10% of contributions will be utilized for grant administration, including credit card processing and staffing.

For all the wonderful memories we have getting to be foodies in Minneapolis. You all have performed miracles showing an entire nation how to resist. If another city had been chosen early on, we firmly believe there would have been riots and Marshall law and we would have all been screwed. Please believe and know we know, you have saved a nation!!! We can’t wait to be your customers again A grandma and grandpa from Copper Harbor, MI

This donation was made possible from the sale of Riverside Soy Candle’s Stand With Minnesota candles. Each candle sale generated $8 towards this donation. As a small business in Minnesota this cause hits close to home, it hard enough being a small business, without this added struggle. My heart goes out to all of Minneapolis & Minnesota. Thanks to all the people that have supported my business through the sale of Stand With Minnesota candles! Danette Riverside Soy Candles Iron Range Minnesota
