The Caroline Thome Angel Fund

The Caroline Thome Angel Fund was formed to honor the memory of Caroline Grace Thome, who passed away in late 2019 just shy of her third birthday.

After a year of support continuing to flow in from the community in Caroline's name, Mandy and Julian Thome decided to formalize the Fund with the DSAA to be able to support causes near to their hearts.  Families with children with disabilities face tremendous expenses that leave little left over for some traditional events that most families can afford annually without extra support. The DSAA had been studying and planning for the first spend-the-night summer camp for the Down syndrome community for years and hosted the first year of Camp Brightside in 2023.  There was a perfect fit for the need for funds to help get an affordable Camp off the ground and do so in a way in memory of Caroline.  Camp Brightside continues to get bigger and better every year.  The Fund also gives to families in need during the Holidays, making what can be a stressful time a little more peaceful and joyous.  There is an annual Benefit in January to celebrate the generosity and build momentum for continued support.

The Caroline Thome Angel Fund truly appreciates your continued and generous support!
