“Our national staff seeing support continuing and funding continuing to come to help this country gives them a positive sign that Afghanistan hasn’t been abandoned.”

The people of Afghanistan need help today
The people of Afghanistan are facing a humanitarian catastrophe.
For the people living in Afghanistan, the last period of time have been full of fear, insecurity and panic. The Taliban have seized power and the population is facing yet another extreme crisis. The situation is evolving day by day and our 700 Afghan employees are working hard to secure help for displaced families who are scared of what the future will bring.
We are there!
The situation in Afghanistan was already fragile. The country has been plagued by violence and conflict for over 40 years. Severe droughts and COVID-19 are making things even worse. This means that the Afghans are some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
90% are in need of humanitarian assistance, and at least 4 million are believed to have been uprooted and scattered across the country
The DRC has been present in Afghanistan since 1999 and is one of the leading humanitarian organisations in the country. We continue to help Afghans in need through our 700 local colleagues in 18 of the country's 34 provinces.
