Courtney’s commitment to science and mentorship was unparalleled. As a researcher, she pushed the boundaries of experimental design to more closely mirror real-world scenarios, with the ultimate goal of applying her findings to address real-world problems. As a mentor, she challenged her mentees to become the best versions of themselves, often recognizing their full potential even when they couldn’t see it themselves.
