I am honored to be a founding member of the Pink Jet Ambassador Program because it represents something bigger than any of us as individuals, and creates awareness about two important topics that are both close to my heart. 

On the topic of breast cancer, it’s about strength, visibility, and standing beside individuals and families navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives. 

As a former caregiver and recent survivor, myself, that mission resonates with me on a very real level. I believe in being present for people, in lifting others up, and in helping turn difficult experiences into something that still holds hope and connection, and this is my personal mission in life. 

On the topic of Girls and Women in STEM, as a woman in a STEM career myself, I believe that women are still underrepresented in these fields; predominantly due to social, cultural and structural barriers. 

I have found that in my field primarily, it’s simply a lack of awareness that these types of careers exist and generally under-estimating the fact that women typically excel in STEM disciplines.

Because of this, I have always felt a strong need and responsibility to inspire and represent as a woman in STEM; advocating and educating women who may be curious or interested in pursuing careers in these fields.

Finally, I have had a longstanding fascination with aviation and dream of flying a jet myself.
