Donate to hospice girlie Kasey
Here is the little dog that broke our hearts into pieces.
Kasey was turned in to the shelter by her owners at the age of 16 years old.
She had been an outdoor dog, most likely all of her life.
She has a long list of medical issues, bad teeth, she is frail and weak, her bladder is infected, she has a significant heart murmur which makes her at high risk for anesthesia and the most pressing thing is that her vertabrae is fused together and compressed, to a crippling effect. She walks hunched over and she struggles to lay down and get comfortable. Our vet has started Kasey on pain medication as well as anti-biotics to treat her bladder infection and we are taking this one day at a time.
Kasey is officially a hospice dog and we are so grateful that one of our volunteers, Wendy has generously offered to offer Kasey the hospice home that she needs. Kasey's initial vetting involved x-rays, bloodwork, urinalysis, medication and we are just attempting right now to see if we can get her to a place of comfort where she can have an easier time doing a simple thing like laying down.
The shelter had reported that Kasey had been passing out, so we are on watch right now to see if this continues to happen and if she needs a cardiologist consult.
NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL to help this little elderly girl who has been let down by humans her entire life.
