Donate to Dog Hit by Car, Hopps!
Camp Cocker Rescue received a panicked email begging us to help a dog that had been hit by a car up in Sylmar, CA. The email said the dog had belonged to a homeless person who had no way of taking care of him, and the dog needed a vet right away.
The homeless person relinquished the dog to a very nice pair of good samaritans, and these wonderful people who were taking care of this sweet dog were able to meet us at our local vet where he is currently being assessed. We have renamed him, Hopps!
Dogs that are hit by cars are always a mixed bag when it comes to treatment, care, and expense. Some dogs, like our friend Gimli, walk away with a fractured pelvis that doesn't need surgery and only few weeks of crate rest to get back in to tip top shape. Other dogs take weeks or months to be rehabilitated, while others are sometimes paralyzed for life.
Please consider donating whatever you can to help this sweet guy out. We have no idea how much it is going to cost to get Hopps taken care of, and we need your help to help him pull through.
No donation is too small to help Hopps!
Thank you so much for being a part of the Camp Cocker Rescue village with your donation!
