Please donate to Greta's major medical bills!
*UPDATE: Greta is now out of the shelter and is at the vet beginning on her first of two surgeries (her inguinal hernia is the priority, her dental/cherry eye can be done in a couple of weeks from now)
DONATIONS URGENTLY NEEDED!
(here is our original fundraising plea before we knew we were getting her from the shelter)
This dog is currently in a shelter and is in critical need of emergency inguinal hernia surgery. An inguinal hernia is different than an umbilical hernia (which is non life threatening).
An inguinal hernia is when the intestines shift around in the body and get squeezed into the wrong place. There could be internal bleeding or the dog could die at any time with an inguinal hernia. (an inguinal hernia is usually the result of blunt force trauma to the abdomen).
But there's more to this girl's medical situation. She has a grade three to four heart murmur which means before surgery, she would need chest x-rays and an EKG to check how severe her heart murmur is. Going under anesthesia is a real risk and the more information the surgeon has, the better.
But once she gets through the initial inguinal hernia surgery there is more surgery she will need in a few weeks (she needs cherry eye surgery and has major dental disease).
No donation is too small, please help and share this with everyone you know!
