Donate to Austin!
Austin was rescued from South Korea in a joint effort between Camp Cocker Rescue and Band for animals. Austin is a very special rescue, however, because had some sort of incident while he was still in South Korea that badly effected his leg.
You can see more of his story here:
Our vet took x-rays of his knee, which the orthopedic surgeon said was swollen with fluid (and causing Austin some pain), and he will likely need knee surgery in the future to help fix this issue. Learning this, we brought Austin to a physical therapy consultation to see if anything can be done to help his knee without needing surgery.
We're currently starting Austin on a month of daily physical therapy to help his knee and his pain management. We don’t know what kind of results to expect from his physical therapy, but we're hoping it might keep him from needing knee surgery. At the very least, keep his leg muscles healthy and active to prevent future medical issues and atrophy.
This means Camp Cocker Rescue needs your help! You can help support Austin on his journey to being a happy and better walking dog by donating to his care!
Austin especially needs your direct donation because we always raise funds for our international rescues separately, so we won't take away any donations from our local cocker spaniel rescues. This means that Austin is going to need to raise the money for his physical therapy all on his own!
Would you please consider donating to Austin? Even $5 goes a long way if a lot of people donate. Let's show Austin how amazing our Camp Cocker Village is!
