Program is a must to train these athletes for the Olympics . It is the college gymnastics programs for men that prepare them for a chance to make the Olympic Team . They are pound for pound the strongest athletes out there and truly incredible what they can do.

I have known Mike Burns since I was 12 years old. He made me feel at home and really challenged all his athletes to not only be a better gymnast but showcased what it is to be a successful, honest, professional, and respectful man. Gymnastics gave me everything and to see what is happening across the country kills me knowing these great opportunities and experiences I had are now being stripped away from the next generation. We cannot let this happen! Thank you, Mike, for all that you are doing. Keep the fight going!

As a University of Minnesota Twin Cities alumni and a member of the Gopher gymnastics community, I am writing you all today on the hopes of saving the Men's Gymnastics program. Gopher gymnastics has been a hugely important aspect in my life. Though I was not a D1 athlete, their facilities were home to our club team and provided opportunities for student athletes of all skill levels/walks of life. The sense of belonging, friendships, and personal development that came from my time in the sport at the University of Minnesota cannot be replaced. And a lot of this is thanks to the University of Minnesota Men's Gymnastics program. Not only does the program have world class athletes (and have produced olympians on several occasions), they help the greater college community at large. This program is not only a necessary asset to the university, but to the already depleted collegiate men's gymnastics community nationwide. Please do not take any more opportunities away from young men who already have few in this sport. SAVE GOPHER MEN'S GYMNASTICS!

Gymnastics is not just a sport. It builds character, develops a work ethic and team work. These are things that last a lifetime. I am the proud parent of a a former Golden Gopher Gymnast.

The pride and dedication I feel as a current U of MN Employee can be traced to the formative opportunities and inspiration I was given thanks to the outreach by MANY generous, talented, and hardworking Gopher gymnasts and coaches. I am living proof that dedicated & ongoing investment by the U of MN in Men's Gymnastics has paid, and will continue to pay, a significant and tangible return to the U of MN, as well as to the greater community on which the whole U of MN relies upon for political and financial support.

I love gymnastics and it deserves more recognition, not less. People pour their life into this sport and it's incredibly beautiful and badass. (Former Cirque Du Soleil artist)
