Support the Conservatoire du Patrimoine Vidéoludique
The Conservatoire du Patrimoine Vidéoludique (CPV) is a French non-profit association dedicated to the preservation, conservation, documentation, restoration and study of video game heritage.
Our mission is to protect the physical and documentary history of video games before it disappears. This includes not only commercially released consoles and games, but also rare and historically significant material such as development kits, test kits, prototypes, pre-release software, factory media, technical documentation, internal hardware, accessories and archival material.
Your donation directly helps us preserve this history.
Funds raised through this page may be used to:
acquire historically significant hardware, software and documents at risk of being lost or dispersed;
safely store and preserve items in the collection;
repair and restore damaged equipment when appropriate;
document, catalogue and research preserved material;
maintain the association’s website, servers and digital infrastructure;
cover insurance, banking, transport, shipping and other essential operating costs;
prepare future exhibitions, events and public presentations of preserved material.
We believe video games are an important part of our cultural, technological and creative heritage. Development hardware, prototypes and internal materials are especially vulnerable: many were produced in very small numbers, were never intended to reach the public, and are increasingly being destroyed, discarded or absorbed into private collections where their history may be lost.
The CPV exists to ensure that these objects are not simply collected, but preserved, studied, documented and, whenever possible, shared with the public.
As a young non-profit organisation, even relatively small donations can make a real difference. Every contribution helps us take on projects that would otherwise be beyond our financial reach.
If you believe that video game history deserves to be preserved for future generations, please consider supporting our work.
Every donation helps us preserve today what might otherwise be lost tomorrow.
Thank you for supporting the Conservatoire du Patrimoine Vidéoludique.
