This can be a topic for Thursday.
Handguns and rifles are designed for the adult male, the intended customers. There is a blind spot when it comes to properly designing and training women with firearms.
The designers and instructors don't know what it is like to use a firearm that is too big, the problem that most adult females have. A lot of bad advice and ill-fitting products happen.
As children we were taught how to design, make, and use rifles and handguns for our smaller bodies by the engineers that worked in the gun industry. We were also taught how to recognize and adapt to firearms that are too big. We never forgot those lessons that most firearms engineers and instructors never understood in the first place.
What are some other ways to help the adult male engineers and instructors better understand how to make firearms work well for women?
I believe that the engineers and instructors can do well, but recognizing the problem is super difficult. They do not know what they do not know.

What would be the procedure to set the gas regulator on the Inch FALs that do not have the last round bolt open feature?
On the Metric FALs with with the last round bolt open the procedure is to start at the lowest setting, adding more gas until the bolt locks open with the last shot. Then, add 2 clicks.
Without the last round bolt open feature on the Inch FALs, I don't know how to know that the bolt is moving all the way back.

With the advent of more US manufacturers developing their own US made AK rifles, but has any of these companies so far ever considered obtaining the original TDP from the Izhmash Plant of Russia, or thought of hiring some Izhmash engineers as consultants? – Even if a US based company is willing to pay royalties for the original design, just as long as they build a properly made Kalashnikov rifle.

The ATF's Factoring Criteria for Weapons requires 75 points for an imported handgun. Once that handgun is already imported, can that same handgun be modified from double action to single action, even though the points will drop below 75? The popular single action conversion kits for Glock pistols drop the points below 75. Everyone says that is acceptable, but law enforcement just makes up rules on their own, legal or not.

This can be for the Thursday show.
What was the actual reason for the anti-tilt followers for the AR platform?
When we were validating the followers in the MTS machines for the military the only test case we could find to cause a "tilted" follower was a about half filled magazine that was dropped. If the half filled magazine was dropped straight down in a loaded rifle in just the wrong way the cartridges could rotate and not stack pretty after the fall. The failures were always with the cartridges, never the followers tilting. The problems repeat on all of the so-called anti-tilt designs. The aluminum, black, and green followers all performed the same. The jams were always caused by the cartridges.

Going back to your quote on the AR-18 being the “Most Successful Failure,” out of all the rifles that was influenced by its design (not including hybrid designs such as the HK416, CAR816, and etc. since they use both the inline construction along with a external-piston mechanism). Hello guys!
First I want to say thank you for what you doing. I have found your Q&A session very informative and interesting to watch.
First question:
I ordered conversion kit for my Robinson Armament XCR-L. The barrel that I ordered is 5.56, 14.7", light profile, chrome moly, 1/7 twist barrel.
If I decide to use suppressor on that barrel, am I going to face any issues, because of the weight of suppressor? Would it be better to switch barrel profile to heavy?
Second question:
What is you opinion on OSS HX-QD 762 Ti suppressor?
Third question:
What muzzle device (brake or flash hider) would you choose to pin and weld, to go with suppressor?

About how much interference should there be on an AR between the takedown lug on the upper receiver and the cavity in the lower receiver at the rear takedown pin?
The lug on the upper receiver is 0.500 inch wide. The cavity in the lower receiver is 0.468", so there is 0.032" interference. The manufacturer tells me that is "mil-spec", and I believe that they are full of hot air. They tell me to use a mallet to force the upper receiver into the lower receiver. It takes over 200 pounds of force to make the receivers fit together.
This does not seem normal to me, but the manufacturer is super stubborn. They insist that I am a fool.
Kevin | $10.70
Approximately how much force should it take to push out the takedown pins on an AR-15?
I measured 184 pounds of force to push the rear takedown pin out to separate the receivers. The manufacturer tells me that is within "mil-spec". I think that the manufacturer is full of hot air.

What is the proper method to measure the trigger pull weight on a pistol with a hinged trigger? I use the NRA dead weights, and G tells me that I am wrong. I use the MTS machines, and I am told that I am wrong. I use the Zwick/Roell machines, and I am told that I am wrong. Every other gun manufacturer is close-ish to the 5.5 pound trigger pull weight, usually around 7.0 to 8.5 pound. The 5.5 pound triggers are 9.5 to 13.6 pound triggers, not even close. I have certified calibrations for the equipment, but I am told that I am always wrong. The other manufacturers don't tell me that I am wrong. The Army does not tell me that I am wrong. What is the right way to measure trigger pull weights on a hinged trigger? The 1911 is easy.
