"Twenty years ago, during Operation Red Wings, our nation witnessed incredible courage and sacrifice. Today, we remember the nineteen brave warriors who gave their lives in the mountains of Afghanistan.

As an active duty Marine who was there, I carry their memory with me every day—just like so many others who served beside them.

These men showed what true service means: commitment, courage, and brotherhood. They remind us that freedom isn’t free—it’s protected by those willing to give everything for it.

We honor the four-man SEAL team—Lt. Michael Murphy, Matthew Axelson, Danny Dietz, and the lone survivor, Marcus Luttrell—and the sixteen Special Operations warriors lost in the rescue attempt: the Navy SEALs and Army Night Stalkers of the 160th SOAR.

Their legacy lives on—not just in books or movies—but in every act of service, and in moments like our upcoming Veterans Day Ruck March
