Help human rights defenders preserve truth, pursue justice and advocate accountability
Human rights defenders rely on accessible information to fuel their work, whether it’s pursuing justice for victims of violations, advocating legal reforms to ensure vulnerable populations aren’t left behind, or shaping collective memory for societies to heal from past trauma.
However, information is too often anything but accessible. From case files and court decisions to reports, interviews, and social media posts, it’s scattered in different places, difficult to find and even dangerous to obtain.
That's where HURIDOCS comes in. We are an NGO that helps human rights groups gather, organise and use information to create positive change in the world.
Since 1982, we have developed methodologies and tools that make it easier not only to manage collections of human rights evidence, law and research, but also to analyze them for insights. Hundreds of organisations have overcome their information challenges with our guidance and solutions.
And with your help, we will continue to support the human rights movement to mobilize information. Information is a force for good—as long as human rights defenders are able to safely and efficiently make sense of it.
