Invest in community.

Invest in empowerment.

DSAL Community Development programs provide a safe space and foster community activism through the REACH Ashland Youth Center, Eden Night Live and ongoing community-driven creative projects. Each of these programs began by listening to the community to build the next generation of leaders, vital infrastructure and social cohesion.

DSAL has been instrumental in supporting and encouraging local community groups to engage historically disenfranchised low-income Eden Area residents. We are also leading community-driven arts and culture initiatives, including Eden Night Live, a pop-up community arts festival, multiple murals designed by local artists with community participation in design and painting, as well as a pop-up park used by deputies and community groups to engage the public in our Community Capitals Policing initiatives.
