Goal

Help families build financial stability, housing security, and pathways to homeownership.

Your gift to Building Neighborhoods Together supports affordable housing development, free financial education, HUD certified housing counseling, foreclosure and eviction prevention, below market home repair loans, and other services that help low to moderate income individuals and families across Connecticut build long term stability. Whether you give once or monthly, your support helps BNT provide these services throughout the year.

Goal: $50,000

I want my gift to support:

• Youth financial literacy
• Adult financial literacy, first time homeownership, and home retention

• Affordable housing development

• Housing Stability Loan Fund

• Wherever needed most

$5 helps print and translate class worksheets

$10 helps send reminders and book a coaching visit

$25 funds a credit report for a first coaching session

$50 provides materials for a parent workshop

$100 supports follow up in a foreclosure or eviction prevention case

$250 provides print and digital materials for multiple classes

$1,000 supports a homeownership coaching series for a new buyer

Larger gifts welcome. For example, $5,000 helps purchase a high efficiency boiler for a two unit home or an energy efficient window set.

Watch a 2 minute News 12 story of a BNT graduate who became a homeowner through our classes and coaching.

Make it monthly to support a classroom or a family every month.

Building Neighborhoods Together (BNT) creates safe, affordable housing and provides free financial education, first time homeownership, and home retention coaching through our Empowerment Resource Academy. BNT also offers below market Housing Stability Fund loans of up to $10,000 to help homeowners who cannot access safe credit make needed home repairs.

In 2025, we served over 1,600 adults and 900 youth. We helped over 100 families become first-time homeowners, and about 200 households avoid foreclosure or eviction. We support the state financial literacy course in Bridgeport high schools and deliver workshops to middle school students through summer camps and afterschool programs.

Thank you for supporting BNT. Your gift helps families build budgets, credit, savings, stable homes, and intergenerational wealth, while also helping students learn real world money skills.

BNT is a 501(c)(3). EIN 22-2809353. Gifts are tax deductible as allowed by law. Employer matching and DAF gifts welcome.
