Last week I finished my thru-hike of the Long Trail of Vermont (272mi). I feel so grateful for that opportunity and the access to the outdoors I've had throughout my life. I am donating $2/mile to different organizations that have similar missions to your own, so that the outdoors are accessible and welcome to all.

Black Laboratory Brewing

Hello, My name is Julia Simms and I am the Taproom Manager for Black Laboratory Brewing. With recent Injustices to people of color, Weathered Souls brewing launched a Black Is Beautiful Initiative. Black Laboratory did a collaboration with them, and we brewed up a Imperial Stout. 100% of proceeds from sales from this beer was donated to the African American Museum of San Antonio. I Also wanted to find my own way to donate to a local Black organization. I took the spent grains from the brewing process and made dog treats at home. I sold them at the brewery to raise money for your organization's initiative, as I wanted to support the cause your organization is about. Black Outside means a lot to me because you guys are impacting black children with a great outdoor experience in my local city here in San Antonio. This is something I would have wanted to experience myself growing up as a child. I hope my donation helps and makes a difference. Keep doing what your doing! #BLM
