The mission of The Africa in Me (AFIM) is to help the less fortunate in the four African countries of Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Uganda. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, AFIM has been helping families living in poverty and those affected by the pandemic. While we distribute free food to these families, we also help them find jobs or provide them with capital or goods to start a small business.

However, we cannot continue our work without your help.

Your tax-deductible donation will directly go towards funding our food distribution and income security programs since all our staff are fully volunteering their time for a mission they deeply believe in.

By donating today, you can help people like Grace, a 73-year-old woman supporting a family of six. Before the pandemic, she used to collect wood from the nearby jungle to sell it at the local market for a few coins. While trying to cope with her husband’s sudden death, she is also taking care of her sick brother, who had a stroke, and his children. But because of the lockdown, she was no longer able to provide for them as no one was showing up at the market to buy the wood she spent long hours collecting.

Thanks to generous donors like you, we were able to visit Grace and her family to provide them with food and supplies. We are also currently helping them find sustainable jobs to support themselves and cover the treatment expenses of her brother.
