The Dolphin Runner
I’m an NHS Consultant Anaesthetist and Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Exeter. I run dressed as a dolphin to increase awareness that we cannot survive without a healthy ocean.
I raise money to develop ocean education for individuals and organisations.
What your donation does
I spend my time teaching people around the world about what they can do to protect the ocean and the amazing life it contains, including whales and dolphins.

Why run as a dolphin?
It’s unexpected to see a dolphin at a running event and, through parkrun especially, I can be seen by hundreds of people every week.
When people ask me why, I explain how we all depend upon a healthy ocean in whatever we are doing, including running.
I give free dolphin runner stickers to children. The dolphin is memorable, starts conversations and makes people smile.
