Goal

Dear friends of Diveboard,

Thanks for being part of the community. We started this journey in 2009 to scratch an itch as divers: we wanted a logbook that would always be with us and that would help share our passion and love for scuba.

As the platform grew, there's now more than 140k active users across the globe who logged over 500,000 dives.

Diveboard is the largest online logbook out there and the amount and quality of data collected by divers has helped researchers with their studies on the biotope and on the impact of scuba diving on our bodies. It has even helped justify the establishment of new marine sactuaries.

Since 2019 Diveboard has become a non-profit (501-c-3) with all the software we built opensourced on Github.

Our mission is to educate divers and connect them to researchers who need boots on the ground. We believe that scuba is better with an intent, and as our planet is undergoing massive climate changes, scuba divers have a role to play as stewards of the Oceans.

We now need your support to support the mission.

We're halfway through a full redevelopment of the platform. Here's a link to the new UI/UX on Figma

We need more funds to get this project to the finish line. With a focus on citizen science, the new Diveboard will allow scientists to build geo surveys so that divers know what to look for when they go diving. This will enable the collection of specific datapoint in real-time, when researchers need them.
