This feature-length documentary presents an intimate and unprecedented portrait of Guillaume Diop, principal dancer of the Paris Opera Ballet, and follows him throughout a full performance season in the present day.

A singular artistic talent and multicultural icon, Diop embodies a new generation of French excellence on the world stage. The film traces his meteoric rise while examining the exacting artistic standards he imposes upon himself, the weight of public and institutional expectation, and the symbolic significance he now carries. Filmed with unprecedented access to the Paris Opera Ballet, the documentary offers a rare portrait of one of the world’s foremost dancers and elite athletes.

The project is co-directed by Katya Mokolo and Adrian Carlesimo and is an official co-production with the Ballet de l’Opéra National de Paris.
