DGD outdoors will help all athletes at the University of Georgia and local youth community. Whether that be new athletes overwhelmed with school and athletics, or local kids looking for a mentoring. Not only can we create opportunities for athletes to get in the woods or on the water we will also provide another Avenue for athletes to stay out of trouble. Our goal is to create a network so that any uga athlete that may want to become more involved in the outdoors in any way has a direct line to do so. We will give them the opportunity to make better use of their time through learning and creating new experiences in the outdoors rather than being downtown on the streets of Athens risking getting caught up, jeopardizing their future, and ending up in a news line. Not only will we look to help out UGA athletes we also want to pour into the local Athens community. Helping the local community through different forms of outreach. Weather that be the underprivileged kids in the area, boys and girls club, or any other youth-based charities. We will also share the importance and values of the outdoors and conservation along with providing a mentoring role between student athletes and the youth within the community. We aim towards giving back to the community through promoting good values in the local youth through engagement with UGA athletes and the outdoors.
