2019 02 22-25 Dental Outreach Clinic, San Quintin MX
We are trying something new. We are offering an extra day of the dental clinic on Sunday for the field workers of Driscoll Farms who work Mon - Sat.
Therefore, for this trip, we are offering 2 options:
Option 1 Friday - Monday
Option 2 Friday - Sunday
Both options are the same cost. If you stay the extra day, you will stay at no extra cost.
One Trip - Two Clinics!
The dental team is divided into 2 groups.
The "main clinic" has three chairs plus a fourth chair that can be set up under a patio.
The "mobile clinic" has four chairs, using high quality portable dental equipment and digital x-rays.
Both the main clinic and mobile clinic are hosted by local churches that serve and reach those who live in poverty in San Quintin, MX. They host the clinic. We are their guests and a part of their efforts to serve and reach their community.
We need:
- dental professionals
- dental students
- people who have a heart for kids to help with the backpack outreach and craft tables.
- pilots and planes that are IFR current.

Space is VERY LIMITED. Typically we max out at 15-24 people depending on how many planes and pilots are available. Sometimes we have volunteers drive down.
The flight is in a small 4 or 6 seat airplane and takes about 2-2.5 hrs in the air over 2 or 3 legs.
The drive takes 8-10 hours on the way down, and 12-15 hours on the way back depending on boarder crossing delays and the need to make an additional meal stop.
If you drive, the total cost of the trip is reduced by $100.
Accommodations: hotel or dorm
The dorm is located at the church and dental clinic site with hot showers and private bathrooms. Men and women sleep in different rooms on bunk beds.
The hotel is 1 .5 miles away. Ground transportation is provided at no extra cost. Single or double rooms are available.

Half off scholarships are available!
Through generous donors, half off scholarships are available for full or part-time students, those in financial need, and / or additional family members.
For example, if you have a family of four and all four would all like to come, then the first person will pay the full price, and the other three family members would be half off. Now, if there is still financial need, then all 4 family members could request the scholarship for half off.
Please submit the scholarship application at least 4 weeks before the trip.
The scholarship application is quick and easy. Please check it out!
