Goal
Dear Lovely People
We are planning on driving a used 4x4 vehicle out to the front line in Ukraine carrying medical supplies at the same time with Mission Ukraine. On arrival in Mykolaiv (passing through Lviv and Odessa) we hand the vehicle over where it is converted into an ambulance. This takes three days so we then drive another vehicle which has previously been converted into an ambulance onto Kramatorsk or wherever it is needed most. Apparently the Russians target normal ambulances so ones converted from old 4x4’s are good news.
Having made our delivery we then make a speedy exit back to Poland and home. In order to do this the charity needs £7000 to buy the vehicle in the Uk and the costs of getting it to the front line and its conversion. Any more will be used for medical supplies. We hope to do this in September when it is neither too hot nor too cold.
We are not the first to do this or the last but as Ukraine moves down the pecking order of hot spots around the world people are not so motivated to help so we feel it is even more important to assist, as apparently one converted ambulance a day saves at least one life.
I hope you don’t mind us asking and will totally understand if it is something you don’t wish to support but please could you give it a thought and help us to help them. In addition if you have any of these lying around unwanted, they would be enormously grateful!
Computers / Laptops. These are the main criteria for what’s ‘under the bonnet’. Obviously no Macs
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7520U (2.8 – 4.3GHz)
Or Intel i5 gen 10 or higher
RAM: 8 GB or higher
Storage: 512 GB SSD
Currently, we’ve had an appeal.
We are helping some engineers with a project which uses old phones to help drones navigate.
If you have an old Android that has all of the below, please let us know
