Delaware Call Fall Fundraiser 2024

Friends and supporters,

The Delaware Call is announcing the 2nd annual Delaware Call Fall Classic. 

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, we will be hosting a garden party and 19th century Base Ball match featuring Delaware's own Diamond State Base Ball Club versus challenging side the "Working IX" on the grounds of the Center for Creative Arts in Yorklyn, DE. Event is from noon to 5:00 p.m. The match will begin at 1:30 p.m.

While showers delayed the first pitch in 2023, an exciting 7 inning game was played and the Working IX will be looking to avenge last year's defeat at the hands of the touring outfit Diamond State Club.

Concessions will be available to purchase, but family picnicking is permitted (and encouraged!). Match tickets are $25 and there's plenty of space available for spectators to set up lawn chairs and blankets! 

A limited number of passes are available for the hospitality tent at $60 per person. The ticket is included as well as beer, white wine, and soft drinks from the bar. 

As a special attraction, a brass band will be on hand to perform mid 19th century pieces both before and after the match. 

Parking availability at the CCA grounds is very limited. Ample parking will be available at the Dew Point Brewery just down the road. It's a 5 minute walk to the grounds.

To donate for multiple tickets (or make a special sponsorship) you can use the "Other Amount" field and leave comments to explain the breakdown of tickets. Just let us know the number of patrons and we'll handle admission. For instance, $50/2 tickets or $240/4 tickets and bar passes.
