We are dedicated to saving horses from the slaughter trade industry as well as other neglectful situations and providing them with the respect and high-quality care they deserve.

Our hearts are called to do more. We are going back in December to give more their second chance. 

At The Gifted Equine, every rescue mission comes with a responsibility that goes far beyond pulling a horse from danger. On average, it takes $4,000 to $5,000 per horse to ensure they receive not just the initial pull to safety, but also the vital aftercare and rehabilitation they deserve. Each animal requires veterinary care, farrier work, dental attention, proper nutrition, and time to heal - physically and emotionally. Because donations don’t always come in at the same pace as the needs, we raise the funding in advance so we can confidently commit to each horse’s full journey of recovery.

The number of lives we’re able to save is one hundred percent dependent on two things: funding and space. When financial support caps out, any overflow is invested into expanding our pastures, so that every mission forward has the potential to save even more. We’re also working toward rebuilding our barn, which will give us the capacity to take on more medically complex cases. Right now, we’re asking for $15,000- funds that will allow us to save horses immediately, while also beginning to lay the groundwork to expand our capacity and impact for the future.

When you donate you are helping save lives, providing:

• Transport costs to get them safely to the rescue facilities
• Veterinary costs* (a major expense for equine rescue)
• Medical costs associated with rehabilitation
• Training if needed to provide the animal with tools to not only survive, but thrive
• Basics like feed, supplements, bedding, etc
• Their residency while we rehabilitate them and all it takes to support them. 
• Operational costs/day to day needs
• Expansion of TGE. We are working diligently to build out our Texas property to accommodate more rescue residents
