The Vision: Beyond Infrastructure
We are not just installing solar panels; we are maintaining a Holistic Educational Ecosystem in Puerto Piña, Darien—one of the most remote and logistics-challenging regions in Panama. This 30.2 kWp micro-grid is the lifeblood of a system serving 200+ students daily, breaking the cycle of isolation through energy and technology.
🎓 Social Impact & Life Pipeline
We believe in a structured 20-year journey of human development. Our "Life Pipeline" ensures that geographic isolation is no longer a barrier to talent:
- Early Childhood (Ages 3-6): We spark curiosity in a safe environment, introducing the first building blocks of logic and leadership.
- Foundational Years (Elementary & Middle School): Through our library and academic reinforcement, we ensure students master literacy and numeracy—the "operating system" for all future learning.
- The Digital Leap (High School): Our IT Lab provides the technical fluency needed to turn "students in the jungle" into digital citizens.
- The Global Gateway (University & Beyond): We provide the solar-powered infrastructure that allows our youth to attend University lectures in Europe, the US, or Panama—right from the heart of the jungle.
- Safe Social Hub: We provide a controlled environment with gaming consoles and billiards, offering a dignified and safe space for youth to grow.
🛠️ Technical Specifications
This project is engineered for resilience in a high-humidity, high-salinity environment with zero grid access.
- Generation: 30.2 kWp utilizing DAH Solar Full-Screen 630W panels. We chose Full-Screen technology specifically to minimize sediment/soiling buildup in the tropical rainforest.
- Storage: 57.2 kWh LiFePO4 (LFP) Battery Bank (280Ah modules). Integrated BMS for 8,000+ cycle reliability.
- Power Conversion: 3x 10kW Hybrid Inverters configured in parallel. This triple-redundancy ensures that the Digital Lab stays online even if one unit requires maintenance.
- The Logistics Challenge: Managed by an MSc in Multimodal Logistics, this project involves moving 3 tons of hardware via truck and barge through the Panamanian Pacific coast.
📊 Transparency: Where Your Money Goes
To ensure full accountability, our donation tiers reflect the Project Landed Cost (Unit Price + 7% Tax + Multimodal Logistics + Technical Installation):
$50 (Solar Safety Kit): MC4 connectors, 6mm² DC cabling, and specialized circuit breakers for tropical environments.
$275 (Generation Unit): 1x 630W High-Efficiency Panel + Aluminum mounting hardware + Proportionate Sea Freight.
$1,150 (Logistics Milestone): Covers the complex transport of 1-ton of equipment (Barge + Forklift + Last Mile) to the heart of the Darién.
$1,750 (Storage Module): 5.12kWh LFP Battery + Integrated BMS + Specialized hazardous material handling.
$3,200 (Power Core): 10kW Hybrid Inverter + Remote monitoring + Industrial-grade surge protection.
