Wyatt's Birthday Wish: $10,000 for Virginia Trans Youth's Gender Affirming Care Access! 


HSZ&W is launching a new fund to support Virginia trans and gender non-conforming communities' access to medical care. They recognize the urgency of this need and are working quickly, but also thoughtfully and intentionally. Although they’re still ironing out the details, we know this fund will be: 

  • Low-barrier, so funds are easily accessible to those who need them most.
  • Flexible, because “access” means meeting different needs for different people.
  • Transparent, because they won’t be able to fund every need for every person. They promise to be clear and upfront about how their process will work, and will always be open to feedback to make it better. 

We need all hands-on-deck in our community to support a very high level of need right now.
