Hello wonderful friends, family, and community! I am so very excited to share information about an upcoming event and fund(friend)raiser happening at the Union Cultural Center (UCC) in Seattle's International District. 

the UCC is a community building space that celebrates Afro-Brazilian (and other) cultural arts through martial arts, dance, songs, food, and laughter. They are committed to community activism and creating positive change. It is also where I spend my evenings at least 3 days a week! 

The UCC changed my life, and I am doing what I can to reciprocate the love and kindness that UCC shares with everyone who enters their doors. I am calling on YOU to help me! 

Join us on Saturday, November 22nd, for a full day of movement, music, and community connection! AND/OR, you can donate a few dollars if you can't make it to the event. Can't wait to see you there!!

Fundraising Goal

The overall fundraising goal is $5000, which will help UCC sustain their space in the next year. I need your support to raise the first $700. Anything helps!!

No amount is too small, but if you donate in the following increments you gain entry to the event and we can celebrate all day together, woohoo!!

$25 - 1 class or the after party
$50 - 2 classes
$100 - 3+ classes + party

• 1:00pm - Capoeira with Mestre Sivinho
• 2:30pm - Bomba with Otoqui Reyes
• 4:00pm - Samba with Deise Costa 
• 5:30pm - Cumbia with Adri Tapia-Gomez 
• 7:00pm - Dinner featuring Indigenous Chef Jason Vickers from Natoncks Metsu 
• 8:00pm - Award Ceremony
• 8:30pm - Cuban Salsa w/Takechi Ruiz
• 9:00-11:00pm - Salsa Party!
