Goal

Hi Beloved community members,

Union Cultural Center is hosting a Dance-a-thon for its fundraiser to continually keep its doors open for cultural community practices during this uncertain time.

My journey in Capoeira began when CM Leika, a co-guardian of UCC, described training in Capoeira as part of warrior training. And since then, Capoeira has been a strong medicine in growing my spiritual, mental and physical within a thriving community. I would love to reciprocate the energy and labor of love that this community has held me in whatever little possible.

As such as, with great kindness please loosen your wallet a bit by donating whatever you can joyfully contribute.

Join us on Saturday, November 22, for UCC’s Dance-a-Thon Fundraiser, a full day of movement, music, and community connection!

This fundraising event brings us together to celebrate the power of dance and music as acts of connection and resistance during these times of division and fear.

Experience back-to-back classes led by our incredible teaching artists, beginning at 10 AM. Each class offers a unique style, celebrating the diverse traditions that make UCC a cultural home for so many.

Grab an all-day pass with party access, or sign up for one or two classes. Every pass helps sustain our programs and community space.

If you can’t join us in person, you can still support by making a donation in any amount that feels right for you. We can’t wait to move, dance, and celebrate together!

Fundraising Goal

This event also serves as a vital fundraiser for UCC, with a goal of $5,000 to help sustain our programs and community space.

Thanks to our generous Board, the first $2,000 raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact.
