Dear Friends,
I am reaching out this time to ask for your support for an organization that is very close to my heart and plays a vital role in community-building efforts in Seattle: Union Cultural Center (UCC). I came across UCC in 2009 when the Seattle Fandango Project (SFP), a participatory music initiative, was just getting started. As our community project took shape, it was essential for us to remain connected to other projects that share our values of justice, unity, community building, and care. We were fortunate to find UCC, which offered us a space to gather and nurture the strong connections that have allowed us to thrive. UCC has been our family since 2009, serving as a hub of dialogue, organizing, and, above all, cross-generational joy.
Today, I invite you to help sustain UCC's programs and community space through a donation.
On November 22, UCC will host a Dance-A-Thon Fundraiser, where you will be able to experience back-to-back classes led by incredible teaching artists. Starting at 10 AM, each class showcases a unique style, celebrating the diverse traditions that make UCC a cultural home for many (see schedule below).
We understand that everyone has different ways they can contribute, and we truly appreciate your support.
You can participate in our fundraiser by choosing an all-day pass that includes party access, or by signing up for one or two individual classes. If that's not feasible for you right now, please know that sharing a donation is also a wonderful way to help.
Every little bit makes a difference, and your generosity means so much to us! ❤️
Fundraising Goal
This event also serves as a vital fundraiser for UCC, with a goal of $5,000 to help sustain our programs and community space.
Thanks to our generous Board, the first $2,000 raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact.
