Loren Taylor for Oakland City Council 2018 Officeholder Committee

Councilmember Taylor has initiated exciting new programs to address the strategic priorities of District 6 from:

  1. East Oakland Economic Development and Entrepreneurship (e.g., ESO Ventures) to
  2. Neighborhood Blight and Beautification (e.g., conversion of vacant lots to community assets like the Black Cultural Zone's Liberation Park) to
  3. The establishment of Community Events (E.g., Juneteenth in The Town) to
  4. Addressing Food and Insecurity (e.g., The Annual District 6 Turkey Drive) and
  5. Much more

While these programs are having a great impact on District 6 and Oakland as a whole, they need additional funding to keep them going. And there is much more to do! Please consider supporting Loren as he builds on these initiatives and establishes new ones.

Please donate what you can -- up to $900 -- to Loren's Officeholder Fund so he can continue this critical work.

What is an officeholder committee? - Oakland allows its elected officials to raise non-campaign funds through an officeholder committee.  These funds support non-political activities while the official is in office.  In District 6 we anticipate using officeholder funds to support community empowerment initiatives, community events and community service activities as well as improved communications with residents, nonprofit event sponsorship, and other office expenses that are best paid for with non-taxpayer funds.

Your contribution (no matter what size) will go a long way toward helping us continue realizing our shared vision for a thriving District 6 and a stronger Oakland.  Thank you for your consistent support and partnership!

Yours In Service Of Oakland,
