Goal
On Monday, 14th October, as part of the Cycle Revolution event, I'll embark on a symbolic bike ride alongside Tim Stephen. We will retrace the historic steps of George Thompson—a fearless abolitionist who fought tirelessly to end slavery nearly 200 years ago.
We'll pedal for 100 miles come rain or shine from Dartford to Folkestone, passing through Medway, Faversham, Thanet, and Canterbury, mirroring Thompson's exact route as he rallied for freedom in the autumn of 1831.
Today, we ride in his honour, not just to remember his legacy but to shine a light on a modern-day form of slavery: human trafficking. With Kent being a significant entry point for trafficking victims, this ride highlights a devastating truth—tens of thousands are trafficked in the UK each year, and tens of millions suffer globally.
As we ride' n raise – awareness and funds – during Anti-Slavery Week, we invite you to donate to enable Ride For Freedom to continue its vital work. Let's come together to fight the injustice of modern-day slavery.
Support the cause. End modern slavery. Ride For Freedom.
