In sub-Saharan Africa, 98 million children will not attend school today because there are not enough schools or teachers. Churches have stepped up to open more schools, but few Christian educators have been equipped to teach from a biblical worldview.

No one has helped them see that the truth in Colossians 1:18, "In all things...Christ preeminent," applies to their classrooms!

^{ELI's founder dreamed of providing training for educators in addition to their work with pastors. Now that dream can be fulfilled! As members of the ELI Faculty, Carla and the PS78Teachers' Team seek to address this problem in Africa, and around the world, by equipping teachers with a biblical view of teaching and the skills to equip other teachers. They will also encourage and assist the establishment of God-centered schools for Covenant children.}

^{Two "equipping" pathways}

^{The first pathway will be for teachers with little or no access to formal teacher education; it consists of a series of modules designed to lay a foundation for Christian education. The second pathway is an online program offered in partnership with MINTS.edu. The PS78 Teacher Education Program leads to a Master of Christian Education degree. The goal is the same for both pathways:}
